The Golden Phoenix Dragon

This is a drawing I did last school year for one of my art classes. It was an avatar project, in which we had to include ourselves into the picture itself, but I decided i'd upload the original piece without me hampering the picture XD. I spent what felt like a total of seventeen hours on this one. I'm happy with the results, but I do admit to rushing the back-round and the wings due to the tight deadline for school and the late start I had on it. I hope you enjoy it, I would very much appreciate any form of critiques, to help me with my art and to help me learn how to be a better artist myself.

* 8/30/13 - Wow, I never thought I'd get so much likes on this. over 20 is amazing, I'd like to thank everyone who enjoyed this piece for I spent a hecka' lotta my time tampering and changing things, burning my eyes out for over 17 hours. It inspires me to do a great deal of artwork in the near future, so do please expect more from me.
