This is one of my first acrylic paintings i've ever done, besides painting my whole basement in that medium in 6th grade ( debating to repaint it, it was a hellov'a lotta fun!
- Anyways, This piece I dedicate to my lovely Professor Kuchta, whom has let me into the Seton Hall College University in order to learn Russian (practically for free, sitting into classes and taking tutoring sessions.) She is a kind warm hearted and loving person to whom I've respected greatly throughout my years and time knowing her. Recently she lost her husband and I thought it would be a great time to give her something dedicated from my heart.
This is painted with Acrylic pain on a 12 x 16 board. We bought a nice black frame to fit it - She isn't one to take gifts easily - But, in my worry she accepted it with open arms, she very much enjoyed it which made me happy to see her appreciate my work. I believe anything should go both ways, so this is my compensation to her hard work, her loving personality and overall loss of a valuable person in her life. I hope anyone viewing this gets that same warmth radiated from her as I did, for I named the painting after her --- The Russian Rose. ( haha, Even though she's Polish, hey, it's metaphorical, she speaks Russian anyways!
Thank you everyone here for supporting me thus far, I've reached thirty watchers, a big mile stone for me. It really makes me happy to be able to know that people appreciate my works for something. I suppose this is my big painting as a marker for things to come - so I hope the warmth I tried to express reaches everyone!
- Love Soph!
